April! What a wet month!! It's been up and down for me. March finished with a brilliant race in Switzerland leaving me only 79 seconds away from that special Olympic time for 20k! Hey! Three strong weeks in Alicante and three more in Dungarvan, Ireland resulted me opening my season with a new British Record at the Irish National Indoors. Having set the 5k outdoor record last summer I wanted the Indoor record of 19:22, however had to settle for the Indoor Under 23 record which is now set at 19:50. My 2012 season continued with a bang, when I won the UK National 10mile championships on the 4th of March. Hey Hey! So here is my first blog!! Currently relaxing on the sofa by the fire in the Irish country side after my 5th week of high mileage training since new year. I've been lucky to escape the cold weather in the UK, by training for 3 weeks in Alicante, Spain, and now one week through a 3 week spell in Dungarvan, Ireland.
