24 year old Laura Whittingham has made a huge break through this summer. In recent years Goldie Sayers has been Britains sole reprsentative at Major Championships but she now looks set to be joined by Whittingham. 2010 has seen Laura add just over 8 metres to her lifetime best to go fourth on the UK all time rankings with 58.27. Furthermore she placed second at the European Trials and took Gold at the English National Championships, putting herself in firm contention for a place in the Commonwealth Team. Athleticos caught up with Laura to gain her thoughts on the season so far and the prospect of competing at a major championships.
